The course is built on presentations by the instructor and the participants and includes exercises and case studies to be discussed in the training.

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

• Apply international standards for board governance and independence in public and private sectors
• Advise on assigning duties to the board and to the executive management
• Assist in forming efficient board committees and indicating their duties and competencies
• Establish the second and third lines of defense and distribute the duties to the different departments
• Assess the application of the principles of transparency and disclosure, and responsibility towards stakeholders
